HopeCorps
Volunteer Progam

WHAT'S NEW at Hope Seeds International? We are pleased to announce an exciting new program called HopeCorps! HopeCorps is designed to increase our capacity to serve those who hunger both physically and spiritually by sending dedicated, experienced volunteer missionaries. HSI is building a volunteer corps of those who have previously served in development/ missionary activities. These HopeCorps volunteers may have retired or were not able to return to full-time ministry but are seeking opportunities to continue to serve.  The idea is simple: send more to reach more! Qualifications for volunteering as a HopeCorps missionary vary. In general, a background in international development, experience as a master gardener, agriculture education, evangelism and discipleship are a few of the experiences and talents we are looking for in a volunteer. Most assignments are short term--one to five weeks depending on location and need. We also provide training and help raise support to cover the missionary's expenses. If you would like to learn more about HopeCorps, please contact us at HSI.

Our First Volunteer

Our first HopeCorps recruit is Ben Newcomer. Ben has a tremendous amount of experience. He has a master’s in agriculture education from Penn State University, served in Guatemala as a missionary with the Mennonite Central Committee, taught at the HEART Missionary Training Institute at Warner Southern College, and served at the Lake Wales Care Center in Florida. His first assignment will be working with partners in the Central Plateau of Haiti.
