Mission Possible: Uganda Orphans We are excited and anxious for our efforts in Uganda in 2008. Greatly encouraged and even more motivated from our shipments and seminars in 2007, we see the needs in Uganda as HUGE while the opportunity to do great things are even BIGGER. We intend to establish a large teaching garden and seed depot near the town of Jinja ( the beginning place of the Nile River ). This 2 acre site will establish a place for teaching, training, demonstration and also provide some food for local orphans. Sharing the love of Christ in such a way is a real privilege and honor.
Mission Possible: Bible Garden School After our testing the effectiveness of this program in 2 locations near Cap Hatien, Haiti in 2007, we are preparing to expand this program to many more locations for 2008. We have a goal of reaching a minimum of 2000 children in as a many as 15 church school locations. This curriculum will include gardening lessons and chores in addition to Bible stories, worship songs, arts and crafts… and a hot meal before they go home. The importance of this program might be lost on American society as no big deal… In Haiti and many other such countries there exist none or very few such opportunities for children to participate in a well organized curriculum for study of gardening. Partnering with Wheat Ridge Ministries for the funding of this program, we are planning for growth into many other countries in the years ahead.

Mission Possible: Kyrgyzstan Research Station This new effort for Hope Seeds is in partnership with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod – World Mission and World Relief. The missionaries in the field – Kip & Ivy Hoech and Mike & Ann Wade – are working among the Dungan Chinese farmers. The initial effort is to design systems and programs which will elevate or improve the level of agriculture through research, training of more modern technologies, and extension of their seed genetics for disease resistance and better yields. We plan on sharing the love of Jesus for them in a parable way… seed.

We share these objectives for 2008 with you in the hope you will realize with us the importance of such work. These projects are in addition to the provision of seed we offer to the many missionaries and teams who contact us each month… and we provide at no charge to each of them. We depend on the support of donors such as yourself as we make plans for growth and development. After all… Seed Saves Lives in a most cost effective way. With the addition of teaching and training we can make the seed produce much more than one meal… it can help feed for a lifetime.
